Machines with a driver

Dartford has a lot of building going on: extensions, new housing in the Ebbsfleet and Greenhithe area, and the usual round of driveways and garden jobs. A lot of that needs a machine and an operator for a day or two rather than a full groundworks package.

We offer diggers from 0.8T to 5T and tracked dumpers, always with a CPCS-carded driver. We choose the size to fit your access.

A typical small job is a builder who needs a trench or a dig-out finished before the next trade arrives, and does not have an operator free. We turn up with our own machine and our own driver, and we work to your levels and your programme. If the job grows once we are on site, we tell you what has changed and what it adds before going further.

Working for builders and householders

We regularly do the groundworks stage for builders, extension companies and landscapers, and can work to your drawings and programme. Foundations are dug to Building Control depth, or to your engineer's drawings.

For householders, the same machines do the smaller jobs: a shed base, a patio dig-out, a driveway or clearance of an overgrown plot.

Houses and gardens round here

Dartford itself has a mix of Victorian terraces near the centre, plenty of post-war housing in Wilmington and Temple Hill, and newer developments with small gardens. Newer gardens tend to be short, and sometimes have a layer of topsoil over compacted fill left by the builders, which we deal with by digging down to firm ground.

Getting here and getting started

Dartford is close to the A2, the M25 and the Dartford Crossing, which makes it a short run from London and the rest of north Kent. We do not promise arrival times, but we will give you a realistic day when we confirm.

Send a photo of the area, one of the access and a rough size on WhatsApp. We reply with a guide price, usually within 30 minutes during working hours, then confirm a fixed price after checking the site. If a skip or vehicle needs to go on the road, a council permit may be needed, and we will tell you.
